Welcome to the University of Holy Cross.
As UHC approaches its centennial, there is much to celebrate. We offer leading academic programs in Nursing, Counseling, Education and many other disciplines. We're working to establish our second doctoral program in Education. Our graduates-4,500 strong-distinguish themselves as top-notch professionals throughout the region. We have new academic programs and innovative ways to learn in the works.

About Dr. Landry
Dr. Landry was named 18th President of the University of Holy Cross on August. 6, 2014. As a former member of the University's Board of Regents, he brings to this leadership position a firm working knowledge of UHC and its programs.
Dr. Landry's employment history is diverse and far-reaching. He worked in academia at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in Hattiesburg, Miss., and Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. At USM he began an American Studies Program and was Assistant to the Dean of Liberal Arts. At Nicholls, Dr. Landry was head of the Department of Government where he started the Criminal Justice Program and Legal Assistant Studies Program.
Dr. Landry graduated from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans where he played guard as a 3 year starter for the football team. He was selected All State his senior year. He also served on the Holy Cross wrestling team and was selected All State for three years.
Dr. Landry went on to play under Coach Tommy O’Boyle at Tulane University for three years when Tulane was still in the Southeastern Conference. He excelled as a defensive guard and was recognized for his quickness, reaction and balance.
Dr. Landry earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in New Orleans; his Master’s Degree from American University in Washington DC and his Ph.D. with a concentration in International Affairs from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. After receiving his Master's from American University, he served three years in the US Army and attained the rank of Captain and received the Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam.He served as the President of the Louisiana Housing Finance Agency in Baton Rouge and also served as the head of the Municipal Banking Department with three major financial security firms.
