Dr. Rubio obtained his Bachelor in Business Management in Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral in Guayaquil – Ecuador. Afterwards, he pursued a Ph.D. in Financial Economics at the University of New Orleans, an AACSB accredited school. After graduating in 2014, he joined the faculty at Central Connecticut State University where he taught courses in general finance and in asset pricing at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Besides his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Rubio maintains an active research agenda; in 2017 alone, he published three academic papers in quality peer reviewed journals. His main area of research is in asset pricing, but he has collaborated in other research venues covering corporate finance and international finance. Dr. Rubio has now returned "home" to New Orleans by joining the faculty at Holy Cross University as an Associate Professor of Finance.
