Executive Assistant to the President
Peggy Bourgeois served as the Executive Director for the Harvey Canal Industrial Association and was directly responsible for the daily management of the association. She was responsible for all aspects of the organization and its member companies who represent the industrial and business strength centered on the Harvey and Algiers Canals. In her capacity, she represented the organization at all civic, business and political functions.
Peggy began her career in the office of former U. S. Congressman W. J. “Billy” Tauzin. She initially served as a caseworker assisting constituents cut through the bureaucracy of numerous federal government agencies. As District Director, Peggy served as liaison for the Congressman for four parishes, including Plaquemines, St. Bernard, Jefferson and St. Charles. She served as the direct contact person for local and state elected officials, civic and businesses organizations and governmental agencies. After 20 years of service, Peggy accepted a position with the New Orleans Regional Chamber of Commerce as Council Manager of the East Jefferson Council and the West Bank Council.
Peggy is a resident of Gretna, Louisiana.

Peggy was recently honored with the API Delta Chapter 2015 Meritorious Service Award. The annual award is given to recognize those men and women who are dedicated to and who actively work towards growth in the energy industry, community and the organization.
She serves on Delgado Community College's West Bank Advisory Board; Southeast Louisiana Regional Workforce Alliance Board; Board of the American Petroleum Institute, Delta Chapter and is the chair of the Scholarship Committee; Advisory Board for the West Bank Boys & Girls Club.
