Enrollment Management Student Intern

Reports To

Executive Assistance for Enrollment Management

Basic Function

To assist the Office of the Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Office of Admissions with the maintenance of student records, provide support with student registration, perform general administrative tasks, and deliver superior customer support to students, faculty, and staff as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors to the Office of the Registrar.
  • Maintain student files, including new, active, and inactive files.
  • Process all mail for the office.
  • Complete various administrative tasks using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Assist with University events to include Grad Fair, Commencement, and New Student Registration.
  • Assist in the preparation of transcript requests.
  • Answer, screen, and refer telephone calls appropriately.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Registrar and other staff.

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Office environment that requires working at a computer, typing, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. Frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, distinguishing letters and symbols, corrected vision and hearing within normal range, mathematical ability, speaking and writing proficiently in the English language, and working under occasionally stressful conditions. Requires use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and scanner. Also, must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.


Student Worker for Human Resources

  • Assist the full-time and part-time Theology faculty. the Chair and Administrative Assistant
  • Inventory. organize and stock/re-stock Theology resources
  • Set up. break down and attend Theology events
  • File documents
  • Shred documents
  • Type correspondence
  • Check and distribute mail
  • Run errands on campus as needed
  • Data entry

This position will work 10 hours per week.

Bio/Chem Lab Student Worker

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

The Biological and Physical Sciences Department will hire one part-time student. The position involves a variety of duties, including: maintain stocked items as directed, maintain lab areas daily (chemistry, biology, microbiology, food science), Other duties as may be required.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain stocked items as directed.
  • Maintain lab areas daily (chemistry, biology, microbiology, food science).
  • Maintain inventory list of chemistry lab storage room.
  • Other duties as may be required.

REMARKS

  • Generally work 10 hours per week between 9 a.m.-12 noon and 1-5 p.m.
  • Additional evening hours (7-8 p.m. may be required for selected activities.)
  • Some evening and weekend hours might be required.
  • Some physical labor may be required.
  • Non-work related activities, such as surfing the Internet/Facebook for fun or checking personal e-mails are not generally appropriate.

**Student workers are responsible for managing their online timecard.


Mail Room / Copy Center Student Worker (12 Hour)

A student worker in the Mail Room/ Copy Center will be expected to answer calls at the main switchboard in a courteous manner. He or she will also be expected to receive office supply forms, disperse mail, and to make copies as requested by faculty and staff. This person would work in the Mail Room for a maximum of 12 hours per week.


Student Worker for lnformation Technology (2 - 10 Hour Positions Available)

Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 11:00am
Mon - Thurs 4:00pm - 6:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer help desk phone
  • Basic troubleshooting
  • Check mail and distribute accordingly

  • Maintain the Academic Skills Center
  • Run errands on campus as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and bend to reach equipment below desks.

One morning and one afternoon position available. Each position will work 10 hours per week.
