Bibliographic Instruction

Librarians provide bibliographic instruction to individuals as requested and to groups and classes by appointment.



The Library participates in the following Consortia.

  • LOUIS: The Louisiana Library Network
  • CALL: Council on Academic Libraries Liaison is a consortium of the eleven academic libraries in the New Orleans area (Delgado Community College, Dillard University, Loyola University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Notre Dame Seminary, Nunez Community College, University of Holy Cross, Southern University at New Orleans, Tulane University, University of New Orleans, Xavier University)


Interlibrary Loan

If the library does not own a book, journal, or other materials that you need, you may submit an interlibrary loan request.


Off-Campus Access

Students, faculty, and staff have remote access to electronic books and databases 24 hours/7 days a week.


Purchase Recommendations

Students, faculty, and staff can recommend titles for the library collection.


Reciprocal Borrowing

Students in graduate programs and faculty members who wish to borrow materials from other Louisiana academic libraries may obtain a LOUIS Reciprocal Borrowing card from the Director of Library Services.


Librarians are available to assist patrons.


Faculty members may place materials on reserve for use by their students.  Reserve materials are for use in the library only and are kept behind the circulation desk.
