UHC Family & Friends,

I am delighted to reach out to you today with tremendous pride and excitement as we reflect on the remarkable beginning of the Fall semester. The energy and enthusiasm that have filled our campus are truly infectious, and I am thrilled to share some of the highlights and successes that have marked the start of this academic year.

First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. It is your collective spirit and unwavering commitment that make our university a vibrant and thriving community. Our campus has come alive with the lively hustle and bustle of students reconnecting with friends, engaging in their coursework, and participating in a wide range of activities. The enthusiasm for learning and personal growth is palpable, reminding us of the transformative power of education.

Over the last several weeks, we have hosted our first President’s Advisory Board and Alumni Advisory Committee meetings on campus. I am humbled by the amount of support we have received from both our alumni as well as industry experts who care so dearly for our beloved institution. There is no doubt that their leadership and investment in our mission will advance our efforts over the course of the academic year.

Additionally, I am excited to announce that our keynote speaker for Annual Prayer Breakfast is Mr. Kevin Avin. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Holy Cross and has spent 40 years educating, mentoring, and coaching a countless number of students in the New Orleans metropolitan region and beyond.

Last, please take a moment to read through this newsletter as we have captured some amazing initiatives that have recently taken place and will take place in the near future.

Thank you once again for your continued dedication to University of Holy Cross. It is through your passion and hard work that our institution continues to thrive. With an eager heart, I look forward to the exciting connections in the days and months ahead.

Spes Unica,
Stanton

Tie Dye
The University of Holy Cross celebrated our FAMOUS "TIE DYE TUESDAY" this week with tons of unique creations of color on a UHC shirt.  From bold swirls and vibrant bursts to intricate patterns that seemed to defy gravity, our students truly outdid themselves, transforming simple white tees into works of art! The campus was a kaleidoscope of creativity as everyone came together to showcase their tie-dye masterpieces.

Governor's Forum

We were fortunate to host the Westbank Governor’s Forum at the University of Holy Cross. It was a great opportunity for meaningful dialogue and a look toward a brighter future for the great state of Louisiana. Together, we can achieve great things!

Mass
On September 14th, we celebrated Mass in the Mater Dei Chapel for the Feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross (University of Holy Cross Feast Day). We also heard an inspirational message from Sr. Ann Lacour, Congregational leader of the Marianites of Holy Cross. The message was the same message that Fr. Moreau gave to Leocadie Gascoin (Mother Mary of the Seven Dolors). "YOU ARE FOR HOLY CROSS!"

Football
The University of Holy Cross hosted Holy Cross School New Orleans and Holy Cross of San Antonio football teams as part of the activities leading up to the Cross & Anchor Bowl on September 1st. Thank you to the Marianites of Holy Cross for sponsoring this amazing dinner. We are blessed to have your leadership and support throughout our beloved university!
