Dr. Martin has over 35 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, with more than twenty-five years in nursing education. She is a Certified Patient Educator, credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Dr. Martin's doctoral study focused on quality improvement in health care and clinical practice specific to health literacy and medication management. Dr. Martin is a LANTERN- Nurse Residency Advisory Board member at the Nurse Abstract Reviewer. She has reviewed pharmacology textbooks for Elsevier. Dr. Martin is also a psychiatric nurse generalist for suicide prevention. Dr. Martin is an instructor for the program, Stop the Bleed by the American College of Surgeons.
