How to Apply

Applying to UHC is fast, free, and easy. Incoming first year freshman may apply to UHC through the Common App or the UHC application. All full-time first year students are automatically considered for academic scholarships!

Choose one option below to apply to UHC:


1. Submit Common App Online
    1. Access the Common App, and create an account as a First-Year Student
    2. Click College Search tab and type in "University of Holy Cross" and add UHC to My Colleges
    3. Once all sections under the Common App and University of Holy Cross tabs are complete and have a green check next to them, submit your application and wait to hear from UHC!

The Common App is available beginning August 1 each year for students entering their senior year.



2. Submit UHC Application Online

Freshman Application

Applicants may be accepted to the freshman class based on the completion or expected completion of high school work, a state approved home-school program, or a General Education Development diploma. At the time of enrollment, however, the applicant must have graduated from an accredited secondary school, completed a recognized homeschool program, or received a General Education Development diploma & transcript with the requirement of “passed”.

Admission will be granted to any entering freshman who meets all the following criteria:

  • Completion of an admissions application online
  • High school cumulative GPA must be a minimum of 2.5 or higher at graduation
    • GED must indicated pass on transcript
  • Submit an official transcript or diploma if graduated 10 years or more; a state approved homeschool program; or official state approved General Education Development program (GED);
