Nicole Ortloff has served in various academic administrative (Associate Dean, Department Chair) and faculty positions for over 20 years. Areas of teaching include management, marketing, and economics at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her area of research focuses on Economics and Marketing Research. Specifically, her focus is on reducing friction in the supply chain in order to encourage small businesses to trade online across international borders through the use of a publicly available real-time landed cost engine. She works with international business accreditation compliance/self-study projects at the university level. She served on-site accreditation teams as a committee member and chair and currently serves on the Board of Commissioners for the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). Dr. Ortloff is the coordinator of Quality Matters and the Business Department's Internship program. She has also owned and operated a paper brokerge firm servicing international markets since 1997.
