Adjunct Instructor of Physics
The University of Holy Cross invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor
of Physics. The position starts August 12, 2025, for late afternoon in-person classes.

Position Description
Adjunct Instructor of Physics is a part-time faculty position. The instructor is contracted
per course on a semester-by-semester basis.
Responsibilities
Planning and delivering instruction, testing, and reporting in the assigned Physics
course(s) in accordance with course description, syllabus, learning outcomes, and
University policies. The instructor must also be available for student conferences
to review individual student progress. Additional responsibilities include maintaining
student attendance records and adhering to academic calendar deadlines. The Adjunct
Instructor must demonstrate the ability to effectively educate students and to exemplify
the mission of the University to educate the minds and hearts of its students.
Qualifications
This position requires a master’s degree or higher in Physics or in a closely related
field with at least 18 documented graduate-level credit hours in Physics coursework.
At least one year of experience as an instructor (full-time or adjunct) is preferred,
as is experience with learning management systems. The instructor must possess exemplary
interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, and
skills in establishing and managing course content and academic deadlines.
