Dear UHC Family & Friends,

As Super Bowl LIX has just passed and Carnival season is ramping up here in New Orleans, it has been a lively start to the Spring Semester at the University of Holy Cross.

January was Holy Cross Heritage Month, a special time in the Holy Cross family. The celebration timeline began with the feast of Saint André Bessette on January 6, the feast of founder Blessed Basil Moreau on January 20, National Catholic Schools week starting on January 26, and the 125th Anniversary of the Death of Mother Mary of Seven Dolors on January 29.

Classes started fully online for the first week because of an unusual event here in south Louisiana - multiple inches of what we call "sneaux"! Many thanks to our students, faculty, and staff for adapting to start the first week of classes uninterrupted online. Enjoy these rare pictures of our beautiful campus!

Below are just a few examples of how we are living the missions of both the Marianites and the University of Holy Cross to the fullest. The education of both the heart and the mind brings hope in our ever-changing world through the University of Holy Cross.

We hope you will enjoy this month's edition of the President's Newsletter!

Spes Unica,

Stanton F. McNeely III, Ed.D
President

The first week of classes started with a rare snowstorm in south Lousiana.

As all classes pivoted to 100% online for the week, the UHC campus was covered in a beautiful blanket of "sneaux"!
