Scholarship Application

We know that attending college is a big step and it takes a fair amount of planning. There is a possibility that federal funds may not cover all of your tuition and fees. There are numerous outlets that can assist in covering your costs for college and scholarships are one of them.

What are scholarships? The University of Holy Cross defines scholarships as: Any money awarded to a student to assist with payment of tuition, fees, or textbooks for an academic year. UHC has three classifications of scholarships: Endowed Scholarships, Unrestricted Scholarships, and Institutional Scholarships.

  • Funds are donated to the University by benefactors to be used as scholarships for students.
  • An endowed scholarship may not be available for awards every year.
  • Scholarships are awarded only if the endowment payout amount reaches a minimum of $500.
  • Donors determine the criteria for the scholarship (see Scholarship Guide).

  • Funds are donated to the University by outside benefactors and designated to be used immediately for scholarships.
  • The University determines the availability of funds, and awards scholarships accordingly.
  • Criteria for each scholarship are listed in the Scholarship Guide.

  • Tuition is discounted; no money is exchanged for payment of these scholarships.
  • Criteria for each scholarship are listed in the Scholarship Guide.

The scholarship application process at UHC is open annually from October 1 - December 15.

The Scholarship Application for 2023-2024 closed on Dec 15, 2022. Please visit again on October 1, 2023 for the 2024-2025 Scholarship Application process!
