The University of Holy Cross will conduct fire alarm drills one time each semester. The following procedures should be followed.

PROCEDURE

Each semester Campus Police in conjunction with Facilities & Operations will decide upon a date for the semester fire drill. The Director of Security will notify the local fire department of the date and time of the drill. Campus Police will also conduct a semester check of all fire equipment on campus on this day.

On the given date Campus Police will sound the fire alarm. All members of the University community are expected to follow the instructions for evacuating the building according to the fire evacuation procedures policy. Fire drill assigned employees are assigned specific locations to monitor during the fire drills to ensure the areas are evacuated in a timely matter.
