About Us
Welcome to the Red Cross Club at the University of Holy Cross! The Red Cross Club
at UHC was founded in 2024 and is an extension of the American Red Cross of Southeast
Louisiana. Our club is guided by the fundamental principles of the Red Cross, striving
to alleviate human distress by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity
of donors. As the UHC Red Cross Club, we hope to learn, practice, and exemplify humanitarian
values through our mission and service in our local community and beyond.
Our Goals
Community-Focused: In the Red Cross Club, we are committed to making a positive impact on our peers and in our community. We hope to make a meaningful impact through organizing and coordinating mission-related service projects throughout the year. Whether it be through fundraising for the Red Cross mission, holding awareness campaigns, assisting with disaster response, or honoring the Armed Forces, our goal is to foster a spirit of compassion and empower individuals to contribute to building a stronger, more resilient community!
Learning and Leadership: As a registered volunteer and member of our club, we offer opportunities for you to become CPR certified. In addition, members gain valuable leadership experience through community service projects, advocacy efforts, health awareness campaigns, and taking courses to become a disaster responder in our community.
Networking Opportunities: Becoming a member of the Red Cross Club provides an opportunity for you to connect with other Red Cross Clubs in Louisiana as well as peers across the country and around the world all while serving under the shared symbol of the largest humanitarian organization in the world. Members will be able to expand their professional and social network by
- participating in local and national events
- engaging in collaborative projects with local community leaders, volunteers, and organizations and
- connecting with Red Cross professionals who offer career advice, mentoring, support, and build meaningful relationships to open a door of future opportunities.
Membership Benefits:
- Becoming an active member of the club is a great resume-builder, as it is a great
way to gain valuable volunteer and community service experiences. When you are surrounded
by like-minded people who all have the same passion for helping others, you become
a part of unique and rewarding experiences that benefit your community like no other!

Active Member Requirements
Join our club and make a valuable impact on our campus and community! To be an active member you must
- Must attend at least 1 meeting per semester and 2 events per year
- Apply to become a registered volunteer through Volunteer Connection (email salina_mansukhani@uhcno.edu for more information or scan QR code below)
- Join our GroupMe for updates regarding opportunities and events!

Your time and service is valued by us, the Red Cross, and a great variety of professional
programs and graduate schools! If you would like to join the impact and become a member
