SNA is a professional organization of student nurses working together to promote participation in campus, state, and national issues affecting our future as registered nurses. We have monthly meetings where we listen to guest speakers from the nursing field, discuss upcoming events, promote community service, and enjoy free lunch together. As student nurses, we play a large role in assisting our community and informing people about nursing, however, our role begins at school. SNA members have the opportunity to become members of LASN & NSNA, which also have a multitude of benefits of their own. All are welcome to our SNA meetings; including pre-nursing students so spread the word!

SNA Goals
  • To encourage participation in community activities promoting improved healthcare
  • To promote and encourage nursing recruitment efforts, participation in student activities, and educational opportunities
  • To represent the nursing student to the consumer, to institutions, and other organizations
  • To influence healthcare, nursing education and nursing practice through legislative activities.
